WWE Reportedly Has Big Plans For Jey Uso After Title Loss

Jey Uso Yeet glasses WWE

Jey Uso is reportedly on the verge of linking up with a figure from his WWE past.

After breaking away from his brother Jimmy and The Bloodline, Jey Uso’s career took in a way very few people could have predicted.

This surge in popularity saw him win the 2025 Royal Rumble before going on to dethrone Gunther at WrestleMania 41. However, his momentum and title reign were brought to a shuddering halt just two months later.

On the June 9 edition of Raw, Uso was once again beaten by Gunther, and this time, he lost the World Heavyweight Championship in the process.

So what comes next?

Jey Uso Heading For Popular Reunion

Following his loss to Gunther, it’s now been reported that Jey will be reunited with his brother Jimmy before the year is out. According to a new report from Cory Hays via Viper Reports and Bodyslam.net, another tag team run for The Usos looks to be the current direction of travel.

There were rumblings that WWE was looking to pair The Usos back together sometime this year and with Jey dropping the World Heavyweight Championship it’s looking like that could be the direction. The question is how does WWE get them back together in a story on TV.

The Usos briefly reunited on the March 24 edition of Raw, but prior to that they hadn’t operated as a two-man team on television since Money In The Bank. However, they did team with Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn during this period, while also fighting on the same team at Survivor Series in 2024.

Meanwhile, Hays also reported that Gunther will find out the identity of his first challenger on the June 16 edition of Raw.

There has been increased speculation that Ilja Dragunov could also return on June 16 after spending nine months out with an ACL injury. As noted in the most recent report on his status, it was revealed that Dragunov has been training multiple times a day to get back in the ring as quickly as possible.
