WWE’s post-WrestleMania PLE line-up is about to get a lot more “regal”.

A report by Wrestlenomics has noted that the month of May will be an extremely busy time for WWE as the company will host two special events.

On Saturday, May 6th, WWE will be using the name Backlash for the post-WrestleMania Premium Live Event. For the past two years, WWE has called it WrestleMania Backlash, but this year it will be just Backlash again.

Additionally, on Saturday, May 27th, which is the Memorial Day long weekend in the United States, WWE will host a King & Queen Of The Ring PLE. This is an important date because it takes place the night before AEW’s second big PPV of the year, Double or Nothing.

The last time WWE used the King/Queen of the Ring gimmick was at Crown Jewel 2021. Xavier Woods won the KOTR tournament that year and Zelina Vega won the women’s tournament, which was technically called the “Queen’s Crown” and not “Queen of the Ring.”

There have been no cities announced as the hosts for Backlash and the King & Queen Of The Ring events as of yet.

All of this means the next five WWE Premium Live Events are:

* April 1 & 2 – WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.

* May 6 – Backlash

* May 27 – King & Queen of the Ring

* July 1 – Money in the Bank in London, England.

* August 5 – SummerSlam in Detroit.

We will have more updates on Backlash and King & Queen of the Ring in the weeks ahead.
