On Friday, WWE averted a potential disaster backstage.

Last week, the Fraxiom duo of Nathan Frazer and Axiom clashed with the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) in a tag team match.

In the closing minutes, Frazer attempted a roll-up pin on Sabin, who shoved him into the ropes. With the referee distracted, Candice LeRae, who had arrived by the ringside, punched Frazer in the face.

The punch sent Frazer staggering back. Sabin immediately rolled up his opponent for a victory.

Apparently, Sabin missed LeRae’s interference, but Shelley watched the entire thing unfold.

LeRae’s assist stems from Alex Shelly’s sympathy towards her and her husband, Johnny Gargano, following the latter’s state of depression over the last several weeks.

Due to Shelley’s involvement with the couple, dissension has developed between him and his tag partner.

Fraxiom & MCMG Almost Come To Blows On WWE SmackDown

A video shared on WWE’s social media page revealed the after-effects of Candice LeRae’s actions last week.

In the video, LeRae can be seen with her husband and Alex Shelley, possibly discussing Johnny Gargano’s victory on NXT earlier in the week.

The victory earned Gargano a shot at the NXT North American Championship against Myles Borne at Stand & Deliver on April 4.

Chris Sabin then joined them, claiming he needed answers for last week. LeRae and Gargano instead left the scene.

Motor City Machine Guns were then joined by Fraxiom, with Nathan Frazer accusing them of being in cahoots with LeRae and Gargano.

A shouting match ensued between the four wrestlers before Rey Fenix jumped in to pacify the situation.

The masked luchador stated that it was not the way two of WWE’s best tag teams solved their problems. Shelley called Fraxiom ‘losers’ and said that he was sick of dealing with children.

Fenix, Axiom, and Frazer continued to discuss their issues as the segment ended.
