WWE Recently Asked Top WWE Star To Lose Weight
This WWE star was home and overweight, and decided that it was time to regroup.
WWE star Jacob Fatu, son of the late Umaga, was written off television in October of 2025 because he had to undergo an extensive dental procedure that involved the removal of 12 of his teeth.
He recently reflected on his time off, which he spent with family, in an interview with Busted Open.
Fatu says that his uncle, WWE legend Rikishi, warned him that if he were out of the spotlight for too long, people would forget about him.
I remember my uncle Rikishi saying this. When you’re home and something, you know, you’ve been out of sight, out of mind, you know, that phone’s going to stop ringing. That phone stopped ringing.
He goes on to reveal how he felt when he would look at his kids watching him sitting on the couch all the time, and the realization dawned on him that he needed to lose weight, as advised by WWE Employee Michael Hayes.
Then I f*cking looked at my weight. I looked at my weight. I looked where I was at, you know, and I will never forget Michael Hayes saying this… He said, ‘Jacob, man, depending on your conditioning, man, depending on where you’re going.’ I remember I came back off a run-in, he looked, ‘It’s not looking too good!
Jacob Fatu Shares Details About Surgery Post His WWE Return
Fatu also revealed details of the surgery, where 11 of his teeth had to be removed instead of 12. He also talked about how he had to regroup mentally and physically after the surgery.
Jacob Fatu returned to WWE on SmackDown earlier this year during the final moments of the Three Stages of Hell match between Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship.
His interference and subsequent attack on both men left a small opening for McIntyre to exit the cage, which was the gimmick of the third match, and become champion after a 2-1 victory over Rhodes in the bout.
Fatu is currently feuding with McIntyre and Rhodes on SmackDown.
