WWE Announces New Date And Location For WrestleMania 42

WWE star Cody Rhodes

WWE is taking WrestleMania 42 to a very familiar location.

In February, it was announced that WrestleMania 42 would be held in New Orleans on April 11 and April 12, 2026. However, just one month later, the company performed a surprising U-turn, and it was reported that the event would be held elsewhere.

The move sparked a wild amount of speculation, with claims the event could head to Saudi Arabia, or even the United Kingdom, but a more familiar front runner quickly emerged in the form of Las Vegas.

WWE fans made it known they weren’t happy with the change, but even though the company is aware of the unrest, it’s pressed on regardless.

During Money In The Bank, it was confirmed that WrestleMania 42 will be held on April 18 and April 19, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This marks only the second time the event has been held in the same city in consecutive years. On that occasion, the spectacular resided in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in 1988 and 1989.

With the event taken away from New Orleans, it’s been confirmed that the city will host Money In The Bank in 2026, with the promise of a different WrestleMania in the future.

Money In The Bank 2025 saw the surprise return of R-Truth, who attacked John Cena a week after he announced he was leaving the company. The shock assault by Truth enabled Cody Rhodes to pin Cena, earning a win for him and Jey Uso.
