WWE Announces CM Punk’s Immediate Future After Assault On Roman Reigns
CM Punk was a deranged man on this week’s WWE RAW.
The Second City Saint entered Madison Square Garden just when Roman Reigns was about to speak to the crowd. Coming in with his right fist bandaged, Punk threw hands as soon as he entered the ring. The OTC handled himself for a bit, but the reigning World Heavyweight Champion eventually took over and Power Bombed Reigns through the commentary desk. Now, WWE has announced what’s next for the Straight Edge Superstar.
Another Great Monday Night To Be Alive for CM Punk
The Stamford-based promotion posted a tweet on X, sharing the image of a charged-up Punk roaring and celebrating after putting The OTC through the desk of Michael Cole and Corey Graves. Captioning the post, the TKO-owned company announced that the World Heavyweight Champion will be present in the upcoming RAW episode in Houston, Texas.
THIS MONDAY on #WWERaw:

Notably, Graves and Cole repeatedly pointed out during the final segment of the previous red-branded show that CM Punk had a crazed look in his eyes. Graves was also highlighting the Second City Saint’s sinister laugh.
Despite The Head of the Table already being down and out after the Power Bomb through the commentary desk, Punk continued to pummel Roman Reigns on the head. Moreover, he was also chanting The OTC’s name in the same way the crowd does, saying “Roman, Roman Reigns.”
The OG Bloodline leader chose to face CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 after winning the 2026 Royal Rumble. The feud between them quickly turned red-hot, as both wrestlers dug into the history they shared when Reigns was a part of The Shield.
Things turned more personal when The Straight Edge Superstar said that he would bury Reigns next to his late father, the WWE Hall of Famer Sika. This prompted Jimmy and Jey Uso to step in and ask Punk to apologize. However, the Second City Saint didn’t do so.
After a few brawl showdowns between Roman Reigns and CM Punk, two more episodes of WWE RAW remain before we reach WrestleMania 42. It would be interesting to see which of these men exits Las Vegas with the World Heavyweight Championship.
