It’s been 2 months since John Cena retired from wrestling.

At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, Cena competed in his final match, losing to Gunther by submission.

Reportedly, the Stamford promotion is already eyeing a return for the 17-time World Champion, albeit in a non-wrestling role and potentially for just one evening.

On the February 23 episode of Monday Night Raw, AJ Styles was named as the second entrant into the 2026 Hall of Fame class. He will join Stephanie McMahon, who was revealed as the first inductee in September.

The latest taping of the red brand contained an AJ tribute segment, owing to it being hosted in Georgia, his home state.

Styles spoke to the audience about his journey while expressing his gratitude for their support. Also joining him on the show were his wife and children.

After The Phenomenal One had said his thank yous, The Undertaker appeared and made the Hall of Fame announcement.

John Cena To Induct AJ Styles Into The WWE Hall Of Fame?

AJ Styles and John Cena share a critically acclaimed feud, which took place in the mid-2010s.

Styles was also a part of Cena’s retirement tour as the veterans put on a classic show in a singles match during the Crown Jewel PLE in October last year.

According to a report by Bodyslam.net, WWE wants John Cena to induct AJ Styles into the 2026 Hall of Fame.

It would give both wrestlers another opportunity to revisit their feud, although this time using speech instead of fists.

While there has been no official word about Cena’s return to WWE, it is something Triple H would love to put together on an evening where legacies are acknowledged ceremoniously.
