Writer Behind CM Punk’s WWE RAW Pipebomb Promo Revealed

CM Punk has a way with words, and he is good with the mic. However, some of his promos leave an everlasting impression on the fans and create conversations that stay days after the segment is done and dusted.

At the moment, The Best in the World is working a heated rivalry with Roman Reigns on the Road to WrestleMania 42.

During the promos, several things are being said. The first one had Punk claim he would bury Reigns beside his late father, Sika Anoa’i. The latest one saw the World Heavyweight Champion refer to Vince McMahon as a “weird old man”.

On the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, The Best in the World dropped some words about Roman Reigns being his WrestleMania 42 opponent, and then referenced Vince McMahon.

You are just a buck-toothed nepo baby who ate dog food for a weird old man. And that weird old man for years treated me like a dog and he expected me to smile, but I had ‘F you’ money so I took that and my dignity and I left.

At this point, referencing The Big Man in WWE needs to be done carefully lest another controversy rise from the ashes of a WWE segment.

Fightful Select has reported Ben Saccoccio as the writer.

Ben Saccoccio was listed as the writer for CM Punk’s promo on WWE Raw. The promo was a major point of conversation backstage.

While this has been reported, it has also been said that CM Punk went massively off-script during the segment since WWE creative had only provided an outline of what was going to be said during the segment.

Apart from Roman Reigns and Vince McMahon, The Best in the World took a shot at The Rock as well!
