William Regal Addresses MJF’s “Popping Pills” Insult

William Regal on the ramp

William Regal has responded to MJF bringing up his history of substance abuse on AEW TV.

During his confrontation with Wheeler Yuta on the latest edition of AEW Dynamite, MJF took aim at Yuta’s Blackpool Combat Club ally when he told him he could ask, “Hey Willy, can you teach me how to pop pills?”

William Regal has been very open about his history of substance abuse in the past and has spoken about it on a number of occasions. This is something he brought up during the most recent edition of his Gentleman Villain podcast as he addressed the jibe.

“Do you think I care? I call myself out a thousand times over about what I’ve done with my life, I’ve cained it when I was younger, I’ve proper gone out there and hammered life and got up to all kinds of stuff. I had a blast and I was out and then I did some dreadful, awful things.

“But I’m through it and it’s really, 22 years out of date. He needs to update his material, but I just play into it, it’s a part of me now, William Regal, it’s a part of me that I am this old rogue that has done this and that, whatever it is it plays into this character that I just turn into.

“Nowadays you can’t really do that, there’s much less room for error. MJF has got something going, he’s figured out whatever it is, he’s got something going.”

Wheeler Yuta was addressing MJF ahead of their clash on the October 5th edition of Dynamite. However, Yuta couldn’t wait until next week and attacked the Salt of the Earth in his skybox later in the show.
