There’s finally been some good news for Will Ospreay.
Ahead of Forbidden Door, Will Ospreay announced that he needed surgery to repair a serious neck injury. After discussing the issues on Dynamite a month earlier, he confirmed that he’d for a “few” herniated discs which were pressing on his spinal cord, causing nerve issues.
Despite the severity of the injury, the British star wrestled in a Lights Out Steel Cage match at Forbidden Door in London, England. In the days before the match, he assured fans that his involvement wasn’t as risky as it appeared, and he was under the care of several top doctors and medical professionals.

“The road will be long, but it’ll be worth it to see you all again. Surgery was a success.”
While there’s no word on how long he’ll be out of action, Will Ospreay has previously said he’d love to face Kenny Omega at All In when the event returns to Wembley Stadium in 2026. For Ospreay to get his wish, this means he’d need to be fit to resume his career by August 30.
The update comes after it was revealed that Wardlow will be missing for several months after suffering a torn pec. The former TNT Champion only made his return to television at Forbidden Door in August, having been out since April 2024.
In better news on the injury front, it’s been announced that Eddie Kingston will finally get back in the ring at All Out on September 20. The Mad King hasn’t wrestled since suffering a series of major leg injuries during a match in May 2024 against Gabe Kidd.
