Will Ospreay Match Set For IMPACT Wrestling’s Bound For Glory

Will Ospreay

Will Ospreay will have a tough challenge ahead of him when he competes at IMPACT Wrestling’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view.

As the current NJPW United Kingdom Champion, Will Ospreay has a contract that allows him to wrestle in other promotions. For the first time since 2016, Ospreay will wrestle for IMPACT Wrestling at the company’s biggest PPV of the year, Bound for Glory.

This year’s Bound for Glory PPV will take place in Chicago. It’s the 19th edition of BFG in Impact history with the first one taking place in 2005.

During Thursday’s Impact Wrestling TV broadcast, the company announced that Ospreay will be facing “Speedball” Mike Bailey at Bound for Glory. You can check out the announcement below.

Fans around the globe were abuzz when IMPACT Wrestling announced that the megastar, Will Ospreay, would be making his long-awaited return at Bound For Glory. As revealed during IMPACT’s 1000th episode celebration, we can now confirm that Ospreay’s opponent will be none other than Mike Bailey. Bailey has taken the wrestling world by storm over the last few years, and has made a name for himself as one of the most innovative athletes in the sport today. These two were originally scheduled to face off earlier this year at Multiverse United: Only the STRONG Survive but the match was called off due to injury. At Bound For Glory, brace yourself for an epic clash between “The Aerial Assassin” and “Speedball”!

IMPACT Wrestling presents its biggest pay-per-view of the year, Bound For Glory, LIVE October 21st at 8pm ET from Cicero Stadium in Chicago. Tickets are on-sale now at Eventbrite.com.

Will Ospreay has had an incredible 2023 so far

This has been arguably the best year of Ospreay’s career considering he has beaten wrestling legends like Kazuchika Okada, Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho clean and at major shows. The match with Omega at Forbidden Door in Toronto is a match that many people will likely consider a match of the year contender while the Okada match is certainly up there as well.

As for his future, Will Ospreay is expected to be a free agent in early 2024 and recently was quoted as saying: “I’m open to all options, that’s all I can say.”
