Why The Rock May Never Return To WWE

The Rock WWE

The Rock has some serious reasons not return to WWE, feels Johnathan Coachman.

The Rock is a massive star in WWE and Hollywood.

His involvement in facilitating John Cena’s final heel turn before WrestleMania 41 was abruptly cut short after The Final Boss’ appearance at Elimination Chamber, and the angle had to be continued without him.

He is one of the board members of WWE’s owners, TKO. His acting career is also soaring to new heights with a recent Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of Mike Kerr in The Smashing Machine.

Although there have been reports that the Saudis are planning to pay a record-breaking fee to get him to WrestleMania 43 next year in Riyadh, The Rock’s schedule and priorities don’t seem to indicate an appearance in WWE, as per former WWE talent Johnathan Coachman.

Coachman, who runs a successful podcast called Coach & Bro with Vince Russo, shared his thoughts on why The People’s Champion may never come back to WWE in a recent episode with former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci.

Johnathan Coachman Explains Why The Rock Will Never Return To WWE

Answering a fan’s SuperChat about The Rock, Coachman explained why he doesn’t see The Rock returning to WWE.

He points out that WWE legend Dave Batista being voted a better actor than The Rock would not have sat well with the People’s Champion, and he is out to prove that he isn’t simply a wrestler who is also an actor, but a real actor out to prove his mettle.

Tommy, I hate to say this, but I think because of getting nominated for a Golden Globe, HE (THE ROCK) is at a point in his life where he’s like “listen, I want to have the validation of being looked at as a serious actor.

I think for a long time, people looked at him as a wrestler who was acting, and then last year, the Hollywood Reporter put out the vote. They voted that Batista’s a better actor than The Rock.

And I think he looks back at it and says, if I go back to wrestling, then it doesn’t matter if I work with Scorsese. Or Dicaprio. I’m gonna continue to be looked at as a wrestler who’s an actor (1:10:31 onwards)
