Why The Rock May Make WWE Return Soon

The Rock could make a shocking return to WWE, predict some.

The Rock is one of the biggest stars on the planet. With successful careers in WWE and Hollywood, The People’s Champion is a household name and is capable of pulling in huge crowds with an appearance.

He was part of a major WWE storyline with Cody Rhodes leading up to WrestleMania 40 in 2024, and he wrestled in his first match in nearly a decade, teaming up with his cousin, Roman Reigns, to defeat Rhodes and Seth Rollins on night 1 of WrestleMania 40.

He was seen on WWE TV again last year, reprising his Final Boss persona from 2024 to facilitate John Cena’s heel turn. Whether it’s for a promo or a match, The Rock’s inclusion in any WWE event generates big revenue for the company and increases viewership ratings.

The Rock is currently a member of the Board of Directors of WWE’s owners, TKO.

The Rock Could Return To WWE Sooner Than Later, Feel Some

On Keepin’ it 100 OFFICIAL, Konnan and his panelists discussed when and why the Rock could make a return to WWE programming.

One panelist highlighted two big reasons for Rock’s return. WWE’s relatively lower viewership ratings in recent times are a factor, and with the Saudis ready to pay big money to get him on board for WrestleMania 43 next year, the Rock could be persuaded to return.

But I’m wondering too, if The Rock, who hasn’t had a lot of W’s in the movies lately., and, is seeing that Saudi money dangling, you know, down the road and everything that one, I wonder if he’s, I wonder if they’re bringing him in and say, yeah, let’s just get me back in the mix. WrestleMania is coming around.

And they need them. They need him.

So now the ratings aren’t good. What now The Rock has a lane to say, like, okay, let me come back. I’m saving the show now. You know what I’m saying? And then now he can take the credit. (4:00 onwards)
