Why CM Punk Enjoys Playing The Villain

CM Punk has a heart of gold, but he truly just wants to be a villain. 

The Best in the World is the World Heavyweight Champion. He is also one of the top babyfaces in WWE. That being said, there isn’t anything remotely villainous about him in WWE.

However, he has found a way to play the role of a villain in Hollywood.

CM Punk explains why he likes to be the villain

The Best in the World has played the role of ‘Zebra Zebrowski’ in Zootopia 2. His next movie, Night Patrol, is releasing on January 16th, 2026. He is playing the role of a vampire cop in the movie.

During an interview with Josh Wilding, Punk explained why he liked to play the role of a villain in the action-horror film.

There’s something about villains that I think are—you know, villains are more often times, for lack of a better word, sexier than the good guys. You know, like the villains get to do fun stuff. The villains got the better weapons, the better outfits. You know, Cobra’s cooler than G.I. Joe. [H/t: Ringside News]

In another interview, CM Punk hilariously claimed that he was being typecast as cops in Hollywood since he plays the role of one in both Zootopia 2 and Night Patrol.
