What WWE Is Planning For Powerhouse Hobbs
WWE might be set to add another former AEW star to its roster soon enough, with one-third of the current AEW World Trios Champion, Powehouse Hobbs, set to leave the promotion.
News broke out earlier in the day that Powerhouse Hobbs ‘ contract with All Elite Wrestling is set to expire at midnight on Thursday, and the Opps member has decided against signing a new contract.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com reported that WWE has an interest in bringing Hobbs over to the promotion, and he is apparently set to join the Stamford-based promotion almost immediately.
Powerhouse Hobbs to debut on the WWE main roster
The story regarding Hobbs’ future has been developing fast over the past few hours, and Cory Hays of Bodyslam.net reports that the 34-year-old is set to skip NXT and debut directly on the promotion’s main roster.
If this is how his debut pans out, it’ll be a big move for Hobbs as WWE rarely makes an exception for wrestlers to skip NXT. He would join the likes of Penta and Rey Fenix, who appeared directly on the main roster after leaving the Tony Khan-led promotion.
Powerhouse Hobbs would be a tremendous signing for WWE.
He fits straight into the main roster.

Ricky Saints and Blake Monroe were the last two former AEW stars to jump ship to the TKO-owned promotion, and they both find themselves in the black and silver brand currently.
