Kevin Sullivan is facing a series of health problems.

Kevin Sullivan’s career in wrestling stretches all the way back to 1970, with his impact on the industry and the 1990s, undeniable. The star was a mainstay for Jim Crockett Promotions and later WCW where he became known as The Taskmaster.

As well as appearing on-screen, Sullivan worked as a booker in WCW, before taking up roles in TNA and Ring of Honor.

However, over the last several weeks, Sullivan has undergone emergency surgery, while also contracting sepsis and encephalitis. These health problems have seen his family turn to the wrestling community for help.

Kevin Sullivan GoFundMe Surges Past Target

In response to his health struggles, Sullivan’s daughter Nicole launched a GoFundMe page, writing the following:

The Taskmaster needs your help! Wrestling legend Kevin Sullivan is facing a critical medical emergency and financial crisis.

On May 12th, 2024, while in Florida for autograph signings, Kevin suffered a devastating accident. He underwent emergency surgery that saved his leg and life but faced severe complications, including sepsis and encephalitis. This unforeseen catastrophe has placed an immense financial burden on his family, as Kevin has been in and out of consciousness in the ICU, far from home.

Despite these challenges, Kevin has shown incredible resilience. Months later, he is still fighting to regain his independence.

Even with an excellent insurance plan, the coverage is nearly exhausted due to the length of stay.

Since the appeal went live, donations have come flooding in from the likes of Jim and Stacy Cornette, Chris Jericho, Diamond Dallas Page, and Cody Rhodes. The campaign target was set at $20,000, and donations have already surpassed $24,000.

In an update, Nicole Sullivan wrote:

Words can not express our gratitude- the response in the first day is nothing short of remarkable. This is a time where many are facing challenges of all kinds, and the willingness to help my dad is appreciated immensely.

Everyone at TJRWrestling sends their best wishes to Kevin Sullivan and his family during his difficult time.
