“Very Telling” – Zelina Vega Makes Shocking WWE Release Reveal
Zelina Vega has revealed a shocking detail about her WWE release.
The former Women’s United States Champion joined the Stamford-based company in 2017. Her first run lasted three years before she was let go in 2020.
The 35-year-old returned only eight months later for a second run. While she recently united with her husband, Aleister Black, on SmackDown, the couple was released earlier today.
Zelina Vega Received The Call From TKO, Not WWE
While fans argued over whether Triple H or TKO executives were deciding who to release, Zelina Vega provided insight into what happened to her.
The former SmackDown star disclosed that she unexpectedly received her release call directly from TKO, not WWE, which she noted was “very telling.”
When people call me from there, usually it would say Stamford calling you. That’s when you’re heart is like, ‘Oh, f**k.’ But this time it’s a TKO, which sounds like, ‘Ah, very telling.’ 5:09 pm is when I found out.
