Major Update On Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE Return Plans
Very few wrestlers have made such an impact on the WWE main roster in their first year as Stephanie Vaquer.
Vaquer officially joined the Raw brand on May 30, 2025. In her debut match as a member of the red brand, she defeated Ivy Nile and Liv Morgan in a three-way Money in the Bank qualifying match.
She left a major footprint in the company by winning the 20-woman battle royal match at Evolution, earning herself a Women’s World Championship match at Clash in Paris.
However, that match was canceled owing to Naomi’s pregnancy. Naomi subsequently vacated the title, after which a match between Stephanie Vaquer and IYO SKY was announced for Wrestlepalooza.
To everyone’s surprise, Vaquer beat the former women’s champion to secure her first title on the main roster.
Stephanie Vaquer Close To WWE Return After Injury
Despite being a hugely successful and cherished wrestler on Raw, one of Stephanie Vaquer’s drawbacks has been the intermittent injuries.
In January 2026, she sustained a legitimate injury during her rivalry with Raquel Rodriguez, which had carried on from late 2025. While the injury did not affect her momentum, she was forced to work a limited number of dates.
More recently, the 33-year-old suffered a second-degree AC joint sprain in her right shoulder. She was written off with a backstage segment on the April 27 taping of Raw, where she was attacked by The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez, and Liv Morgan.
While some reports claimed that she would be on the shelf for the foreseeable future, a new report by PWInsider offered more positive news.
The report claimed that Stephanie Vaquer could be returning to television soon, and discussions were being held internally about her future angles. The same report also stated that she could be present on the upcoming Raw episode, although it did not clarify whether she would make an appearance.
Before her injury, a return match between Vaquer and Morgan was being discussed following Vaquer’s title loss at WrestleMania 42. Regardless, her return appears to have come sooner than expected.
Wrestler Gets Nearly 13 Years’ Prison Sentence In DV Case
Mexican Wrestler El Cuatrero, who is Stephanie Vaquer’s ex-boyfriend, was sentenced to nearly 13 years in prison in a domestic violence case filed by the former Women’s World Champion.
Cuatrero was found guilty on both counts of attempted femicide and domestic violence last week. An update from reporter Antonio Nieto now confirms that Cuatrero has been sentenced to 12 years and 8 months in prison.
The incident of violence between the former couple occurred in March 2023. In the complaint, Vaquer mentioned that the wrestler choked her and threw her against a wall after a disagreement.
Cuatrero, whose real name is Rogelio Reyes, was arrested a few days later after a AAA Lucha Libre show in Mexico.
