Update On Britt Baker Following Injury

Britt Baker

Dr. Britt Baker DMD missed a scheduled Dynamite match due to injury and now a new report has given an update on her condition.

On Dynamite in Lexington, KY the wrestling world got to pay tribute to Jay Briscoe as his brother and tag team partner Mark Briscoe made his AEW debut, taking on Jay Lethal in the night’s main event.

Elsewhere on the show, Bryan Danielson’s quest to get to MJF and the AEW World Championship continues as he defeated Brian Cage and Darby Allin retained his TNT Championship with a win over The House of Black’s Buddy Matthews.

There was a late change to the show as it was announced during the day on Wednesday that a scheduled three-way match between Toni Storm, Ruby Soho, and Britt Baker was off due to an injury suffered by Baker. Instead, Soho and Storm faced off in a one-on-one bout but Britt Baker still made her presence felt, distracting Storm long enough for Ruby Soho to pick up the win.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer gave the latest update on Baker’s condition and it seems she won’t miss much ring time:

“Yeah, so Britt had an injury. The way it was described to me…I don’t know what the injury was, is that she’s not hurt badly, and she possibly could have wrestled, but it would have been a bad idea for her to wrestle.”

“I heard it wasn’t serious. It doesn’t look like it was a knee or anything. Whatever it is, she’s not expected to be out of action for any length of time, is what I was told.”
