Unfortunate Update On Nikki Bella Ahead Of WWE WrestleMania 42
WrestleMania 42 is only a few weeks away, and Nikki Bella has reportedly suffered an injury.
On the March 27, 2026, episode of Friday Night SmackDown, The Bella Twins wrestled in a tag team match against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. The match ended with Brie Bella pinning Alexa Bliss because of outside interference from Lash Legend.
Immediately following the bell, Lash Legend and Nia Jax launched an attack on both teams. Moments later, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria made an appearance to even out the odds. During the post-match segment, Nikki Bella appeared to suffer a legitimate injury during the brawl.
While all the chaos was going on inside the ring, Nikki was seen whispering to Nia Jax that she was hurt. As a result, Jax threw her outside the ring very gently to avoid any further injury. She was then seen being checked by WWE ringside doctors.
Nikki Bella Injures Her Leg On WWE SmackDown
Following SmackDown, Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer provided a report on Nikki’s injury. He revealed that Nikki injured her leg and its severity is currently unknown.
“Not sure the severity but Nikki Bella appeared to suffer some sort of leg injury while brawling off screen with Nia Jax before the finish of their tag match on SmackDown.
She was limping and had Nia throw her outside afterwards and never got into the ring again, and the doctor was over checking on her for the rest of the segment. Hopefully, she’s ok.”
Bella is rumored to team up with her twin sister, Brie Bella, in a multi-woman match at WrestleMania.
According to the rumor mill, WWE is building toward a Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 42, potentially involving The Bella Twins, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, and the champions Nia Jax and Lash Legend.
If Nikki Bella’s injury is severe, then that will jeopardize her WrestleMania spot.
