There will be a special guest on the August 22 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw because WWE has announced that Trish Stratus will be in attendance.

This Monday’s Raw takes place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario. It’s the first WWE television show in Toronto in about three years due to COVID-19 preventing the company from coming to Canada.

During a commercial that aired during Smackdown, WWE strongly promoted that Stratus will be on Raw. It is currently unknown what Stratus, who is from Toronto and still lives in the area with her family, may be doing on Raw.

Stratus tweeted about her Raw appearance as well.

Stratus will be at two WWE Raw brand live events this weekend in Kingston, Ontario tonight (Saturday) and then in London, Ontario on Sunday night. I’ll be at the Sunday night WWE live event since London is my hometown, so I’ll have a full report on that right here on TJRWrestling.

In addition to that, WWE also promoted on last week’s Raw about Damian Priest facing Edge in the Rated R Superstar’s hometown of Toronto. It will be Edge’s first match in Toronto since he returned to active competition in 2020 with his last Toronto match taking place in 2010.

The Women’s Tag Team Title tournament will continue with the semifinals as Dakota Kai & IYO SKY will team up (with Bayley by their side) against Asuka & Alexa Bliss. The winner of that match will go on to the tournament finals at Clash at the Castle on September 3rd against the Smackdown semifinals winner Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah or Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne. Their match will take place on Smackdown next week in Detroit.

Trish Stratus was a full-time performer in WWE starting in early 2000 all the way until her retirement at Unforgiven 2006 in September. After her WWE run ended, she got married and had two children while also opening Stratusphere Yoga in Toronto. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. In 2019, she competed in a big singles match losing to Charlotte Flair while also competing in Royal Rumble matches, at the women’s only Evolution pay-per-view, and other appearances over the years.

As always, you can read about what happens on Raw in The John Report Raw Deal review on TJRWrestling.
