Trish Stratus Wants Beloved WWE Name Inducted In Hall Of Fame
WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus recently spoke about this well-known WWE name.
Wrestling is all about hype, and one of the major factors that contributes to hype before matches, both live and on TV, is the ring announcer announcing the bout and its competitors.
One of the most beloved and famous ring announcers of all time is Lillian Garcia. Garcia’s voice is instantly recognizable and is probably the first voice that comes to mind when most millennials or Gen Z think of their favourite wrestlers entering the ring.
Her initial run in WWE was from 1999 to 2010. She returned in 2011 for another decade-long run before leaving in 2019, only to return for another stint in 2024 (which is ongoing).
Garcia is also a singer and has sung the American National Anthem at WWE events. Trish Stratus was recently heard praising Garcia’s career in WWE.
Trish Stratus Wants Lillian Garcia in the WWE Hall of Fame
Speaking on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story? podcast, Trish Stratus and the hosts discussed how sweet Lillian is as a person, with Stephanie even mentioning that she’s an “incredible performer” aside from having an amazing voice.
Trish: She is. She’s so sweet. She’s the best, yeah.
Stephanie: And an incredible performer herself. And what a voice she has.
Trish: I know. I always called her the golden voice.
They went on to talk about how the crowd is always with her when she makes an appearance, especially in her recent run in WWE. Trish then started chanting Hall of Fame, indicating that she wants Garcia in WWE’s HOF.
Hall of Fame. Hall of Fame. Eventually. (41:06 onwards)
