Triple H’s Role In Recent WWE Releases Revealed

WWE has released many notable stars following WrestleMania 42.

Several stars were confirmed to be let go earlier today ahead of SmackDown, including The Wyatt Sicks, Aleister Black, Zelina Vega, and Kairi Sane.

Jimmy Van, founder of Fightful.com, took to X to address the releases, wondering why Triple H did not use his influence to keep Black, Vega, and Sane in the company since they were being used in storylines.

Dave Meltzer responded, stating that all releases were The Game’s call, not TKO’s.

Nobody above Levesque is saying who to cut. Maybe Nick Khan, maybe not. Ari Emanuel isn’t sitting there saying we have to fire Zelina and Kairi. By and large the decision maker, for good or for bad, here is Paul. It’s like in other years where people blamed this person or that person when the decision was 100 percent Vince.

Zelina Vega Makes Major Reveal About Her WWE Release

Following her release, Zelina Vega addressed her departure in a livestream, sharing more details about leaving the promotion after nearly five years.

The former Women’s United States Champion, who was previously let go in 2020, revealed that this time the call did not come from Stamford as expected, but directly from TKO, something she described as “very telling.”

When people call me from there, usually it would say Stamford calling you. That’s when you’re heart is like, ‘Oh, f**k.’ But this time it’s a TKO, which sounds like, ‘Ah, very telling.’ 5:09 pm is when I found out.
