Triple H Officially Confirms WWE Icon’s WrestleMania Return After A Decade
WWE icon AJ Lee will make her WrestleMania return this year.
Lee returned to WWE last year and got involved in a rivalry with Becky Lynch. She first beat Lynch in a mixed tag team match (with her husband, CM Punk, on her side and Seth Rollins on Becky’s side) by making her submit to the Black Widow.
They again faced off in a 5-on-5 women’s WarGames match, where she again forced Becky Lynch to tap out to her submission maneuver. Given Lee already had two victories over Becky, she challenged Becky to put her Intercontinental Championship on the line.
At Elimination Chamber, she and Becky fought for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship in her hometown of Chicago. She won the match by submission to become the new champion.
Lee then defended her newly won championship on the March 16 edition of Raw, where Becky Lynch brutally attacked her after her successful title defense against Bayley.
This week’s Monday Night Raw saw AJ Lee officially challenge Becky Lynch for WrestleMania 42, where she will put her Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line once again.
