Triple H Slammed For Booking Of 14-Time WWE World Champion
WWE legend feels the 14-time WWE Champion Randy Orton is not being used properly in the company lately.
Randy Orton recently emerged as a defender for Cody Rhodes against Drew McIntyre after the latter sent The American Nightmare on a hiatus with a brutal Claymore kick through the announcer’s desk.
With Rhodes away (for filming a movie and for the birth of his child), McIntyre took every opportunity to antagonize Orton, leading fans to speculate that Triple H would book Orton versus McIntyre for Wrestlepalooza 2025.
However, that speculation was quickly put to rest on SmackDown, September 12, 2025. McIntyre faced Oton in a singles match on the show’s main event. He took advantage of the referee’s distraction to hit his opponent with a Claymore to secure the victory.
After the win, he attacked Orton, and it was then that Cody Rhodes made his surprise return. Rhodes stormed the ring, attacking McIntyre with a few punches followed by a Cody Cutter. Rhodes then grabbed the microphone to announce his return and challenge McIntyre for Wrestlepalooza.
Drew McIntyre, the champ is back. We can do this dance. I’ll see you my friend at Wrestlepalooza.
With Rhodes back in action, the spotlight has shifted to the Undisputed WWE Champion, and it looks like Orton will not be wrestling at Wrestlepalooza, which is sort of disappointing for the fans. Orton has had a proper storyline for a while, which has led many fans and critics to believe that he is getting underutilized in the Triple H-led promotion.
WWE Legend Feels Triple H Needs To Put More Spotlight on Randy Orton
In an exclusive interview with Games Hub, WWE Hall of Famer Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts slammed Triple H for booking Randy Orton poorly. Roberts feels Orton has a lot to offer the SmackDown brand, given his calibre as a veteran in the business.
Ques: Which of the current WWE stars do you think have been underused by the management?
Robert’s answer: There’s several, you know, I don’t stay on top of the product like I should or like I used to anyway. So it’s really unfair for me to even go there, but Randy Orton, he needs more, he could deal with more.
