Triple H May Still Be Fired Despite New WWE Contract, Says Veteran

A veteran believes that the WWE CCO, Triple H could still be fired from the company regardless of signing a new contract recently. The veteran in discussion is Vince Russo.

After Vince McMahon shockingly announced his retirement back in 2022, Triple H took over as the head of the WWE creative team. Fans were excited for The Game’s creative regime, as he had done some incredible work as a booker for NXT Black and Gold years ago. The first two years of The Cerebral Assassin as the CCO were universally loved by the fans. However, Triple H has been facing a lot of criticism since last year, as many believe that the product has been underwhelming.

As WWE is now owned by the TKO group, many fans have also expressed the fear that Triple H could be fired from the company following a lot of backlash regarding his work in the creative department. Meanwhile, The Cerebral Assassin has signed a new multi-year deal with the Stamford-based promotion and will continue his work in the post of CCO.

WWE veteran says Triple H could still be fired

Speaking on The Coach & Bro podcast, the former WWE head writer, Vince Russo implied that Triple H could still be fired by TKO despite his new contract, as there is so much heat on him:

There has been so much heat coming down on Triple H from everywhere. Not just Vince Russo and Coach, everywhere, and this is a time where Nick Khan had to do something. This is giving the manager that vite of confidence, but don’t think for a second that at the end of the season, that manager won’t be let go. This happens in sports, we see this at least once a year in sports.”

The former WWE personality, Jonathan Coachman also added that there is no guarantee that Triple H couldn’t get fired after his recent contract extension:

The contracts that TKO has now made people sign, including Triple H, other than getting paid for the work that they’ve done, there is no guarantee. And you guys need to understand this. This is brilliant by Nick Khan and TKO, brilliant, so this is, ‘oh, wait a second we’re happy, we’re ecstatic with what Triple H and the creative team has done.’ Are you really?” [from 45:42 onwards]
