Triple H Allegedly Lied Over WWE Star’s Release
A WWE superstar’s release in June 2025 sent shockwaves among wrestling fans.
Following his departure, R-Truth took to X to make a related announcement. His post received thousands of likes and numerous comments, expressing surprise and sympathy.
When Netflix announced the release date of its WWE: Unreal Season 2, fans expected the topic to be covered extensively.
And it did just that.
Speaking on the docuseries, Truth revealed that he was told that the company would not be renewing his contract. He admitted to mistaking it for his release and sending out the aforementioned tweet.
On his part, Triple H claimed that there was a communication gap and that at no point in time was R-Truth told that he was released.
Ultimately, it was the company’s president, Nick Khan, who reached out to the 54-year-old wrestler, hoping to bring him back, which worked in favor of all parties involved.
WWE CCO May Have Lied About R-Truth’s Release
R-Truth made his return to WWE just 6 days after his release, turning up at Money in the Bank PLE, where he took out John Cena.
At the post-show press conference, Triple H was asked about the whole R-Truth release and rehire situation, to which he replied:
I love the question. You enjoying the show? All part of the show, man.
During a recent podcast on his YouTube channel, Vince Russo pointed out this press conference while comparing it to the Chief Content Officer’s segment on Unreal, stating how contrasting they were to one another.
Russo claimed that Triple H must have forgotten the press conference because he admitted in the series that Truth’s release was not a work.
After returning, R-Truth was repackaged as Ron Killings, which is his original name. However, he reverted to R-Truth shortly afterward.
