Triple H Congratulates New WWE Champions

The latest edition of SmackDown saw new WWE champions being crowned.

On February 27, The Irresistible Forces duo of Nia Jax and Lash Legend faced Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky (RHIYO) for the Women’s Tag Team Championship.

The babyface duo won the tag titles by defeating Asuka and Kairi Sane on the January 5, 2026, episode of Raw.

After multiple face-offs and matches over the weeks, The Irresistible Forces finally managed to turn the tide in their favor on Friday.

Expectedly, the bout witnessed hard-hitting action from both the babyfaces and the heels, although Jax and Legend dominated most of the fight.

The closing minute chaos saw Ripley attack both Jax and Legend. She then hit her Riptide finisher on Jax, who was not the legal player at the time.

Legend capitalized on this and hit Ripley with a Lash Extension for the successful pinfall.

While it is Lash Legend’s first WWE title win, Nia Jax has previously served as one-half of the tag champions twice.

After ending RHIYO’s 53-day title run, The Irresistible Forces celebrated as pyro erupted inside the KFC Yum Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

Backstage, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H congratulated them on their hard-fought victory, a video of which he shared on his X account.

Elsewhere, Rhea Ripley will be next seen at the Elimination Chamber PLE on February 28.

She earned herself a spot in the namesake match by winning a 3-way match against Ivy Nile and Lyra Valkyria on Raw a couple of weeks ago. On the other hand, Iyo Sky lost her match as Raquel Rodriguez defeated her and Kairi Sane.
