Triple H Breaks Silence After Major WWE Hall Of Fame Announcement
On March 31, WWE revealed its Immortal Moment Award recipient for the 2026 Hall of Fame.
The company’s social media account revealed that Hulk Hogan’s match against Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3 was befitting of the honor.
Triple H further hyped the announcement by quoting the late Gorilla Monsoon, who was on commentary during Hogan’s title defense in the 1987 WrestleMania main event.
Among the pantheon of commentary in wrestling, Gorilla Monsoon’s description of Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant as “the irresistible force meets the immovable object” is at the very top. The bout is also renowned for the ‘body slam heard around the world’ when Hogan lifted Andre the Giant and dropped him on his back, an unprecedented accomplishment at the time.
Shortly after pulling off the miracle move, Hogan hit his leg drop finisher for the victory.
Triple H Makes Rare WWE Taping Appearance On Raw
The WWE Raw episode in Madison Square Garden on March 30 was built around weeks of chaos across multiple storylines.
One of the matches announced for WrestleMania 42 is between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi. The last two weeks witnessed the veteran Lesnar being humiliated by the younger superstar. So, The Beast Incarnate came out dressed to fight on Monday.
The officials, however, were in no mood to let the two heavyweights loose before The Show of Shows.
Lesnar calling out The Ruler led to Oba Femi coming out to a loud cheer from the New York City fans. Femi not only sauntered to the ring but also circled it, a tactic Lesnar often uses to intimidate his opponents.
Femi also put his hands on a couple of officials, including Raw GM Adam Pearce, which prompted Triple H to jump into the ring to pacify the situation.
Both Femi and Lesnar backed off ultimately, but Lesnar got the last word by hitting an F-5 on a hapless security official.
