Triple H Allegedly Distrusts Huge WWE Name
Triple H is under the microscope again for his booking decisions.
Triple H shows how WWE’s backstage and production is handled in the Netflix series WWE: Unreal. In the second episode, he can be seen arguing with his longtime co-worker Road Dogg (Brian James) about the creative direction for wrestler R-Truth.
Road Dogg is the Vice President of WWE live events and also head writer on WWE’s SmackDown brand.
SmackDown has produced some exciting shows of late and has a roster of really talented wrestlers for James and his team to work with. One of them is former Women’s US Champion Chelsea Green.
Green is over with the fans and has a lot of charisma and entertainment value, but has unfortunately not been getting the push many feel she deserves. She is stuck in the mid-card, losing matches week after week on the blue brand, and was most recently dominated by WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill in a singles bout.
If this losing streak continues, Green would lose momentum, and many fans and critics have pointed this out recently as a concern.
Triple H Doesn’t Trust Road Dogg, Says Vince Russo
On Coach & Bro, Coach tells Vince how Chelsea Green’s talent is being overlooked by Triple H despite James’s insistence that she be pushed.
Russo claims that Triple H doesn’t trust Brian James because James and R-Truth are best friends, and The Game would not want Road Dogg going to the dirt sheets about the R-Truth firing issue in 2025.
And guys, peel back the onion because this is the fascinating part, guys. Brian James has been there for 30 years.
Brian James is best friends with uh with R-truth. Triple H does not tell him.
Why does Triple H not tell him? Because Triple H, the mark, doesn’t want it to get out to the dirt sheets. So Triple H doesn’t trust a man sitting at that table who’s been in that company for 40 years. He doesn’t trust that guy and thinks that if that guy knows about R-truth, he’s going to go running to the dirt sheets.
That’s the world they live in, bro. So that shows you right there. Nobody trusts anybody else. They don’t trust each other in their own room. They don’t trust each other. That’s the environment that we’re talking about. (31:56 onwards)
