Triple H Breaks Silence On 45-Year-Old Legend’s WWE Comeback
Triple H comments on Dolph Ziggler’s WWE comeback.
Ziggler, aka Nic Nemeth, had a long WWE career spanning from 2004 to 2023.
Over his WWE tenure, he won numerous championships, including the World Heavyweight Championship twice, NXT Championship once, Intercontinental Championship six times, United States Championship twice, Raw Tag Team Championship twice, and SmackDown Tag Team Championship once. He was also the 2012 Money in the Bank winner.
The 45-year-old star was released from the Stamford-based promotion in September 2023, ending a 19-year run with the company. His release was part of a larger round of talent cuts following the WWE’s merger with Endeavor to form TKO Group Holdings.
Following his departure from the Stamford-based promotion, Ziggler started wrestling on the independent circuit. He made his debut in NJPW and TNA. Currently, he’s signed to TNA.
Dolph Ziggler Returns On WWE RAW
Through TNA’s working partnership with the Stamford-based promotion, Dolph Ziggler made a return on the November 17, 2025, episode of Monday Night RAW, where he was revealed to be Solo Sikoa’s mystery opponent in John Cena’s Last Time Is Now Tournament.
Despite putting in his best efforts, he lost the bout. Following his match, he caught up with WWE Chief Creative Officer Triple H backstage and took some pictures with him, which The Game later shared on his Twitter/ X account.
“Another @TheGarden moment made. Another show stolen. @NicTNemeth,” Triple H tweeted along with the photo.

Ziggler’s return was a one-off appearance as he’s still signed to TNA. It was a surprise for fans, as no one expected Ziggler to show up on RAW this week.
Speaking of surprise returns, last week on SmackDown, Zack Ryder made his WWE comeback and fought LA Knight in a losing effort as his mystery opponent in John Cena’s Last Time is Now Tournament.
So far, Rusev, Sheamus, LA Knight, Jey Uso, Gunther, and Solo Sikoa have advanced in the tournament.
