Fans who watched NXT regularly noticed Trick Williams’ physical transformation when he was brought on to the WWE main roster.

Williams officially became part of SmackDown on January 2, 2026, and has competed in several matches ever since.

The 31-year-old has, in fact, transformed into one of the must-see superstars on the brand after being featured in storylines involving top stars like Randy Orton and Sami Zayn.

Trick recently appeared on the My Mom’s Basement podcast, where he addressed his bulking up, adding that it was deliberate so as to fit with the established names on the blue brand.

Yeah. Yeah. You know, I done put on about 10–15 more pounds. You know what I mean? I’m throwing my weight around a little bit more now. You know, I’m feeling myself. You know what I mean? ‘Cause you know, I’m the new guy on the block and I already knew, man, like I need to set tone now. I need to set a precedence for myself right away, right out the gate. Like, man, I ain’t trying to be on my back foot 24/7.

Trick Williams’ Physical Goals Inspired By WWE Heavyweights

Trick Williams claimed that his workout regimen was devised not just for aesthetics, but to ensure that his physique matched the company’s heavyweights.

Williams cited Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes as inspirations.

got to put on 10–15 pounds because that’s what the heavyweight championship looks like. If you look at the history of the guys who are really carrying the brand of WWE in the past, you know, right now it’s Drew McIntyre, you know what I mean? Like Cody Rhodes is a big guy, you know, Roman Reigns, you know, Brock Lesnar. These are heavyweight guys. These are the lions, tigers, bears, oh my, of the business. You know what I mean? And if you want to be a big dog, you got to put on that weight. [H/T: Ringside News]

It’s fair to say that Trick Williams’ “glow up” has been nothing short of impressive, considering the reception he gets every week he turns up on SmackDown.
