Monday Night Raw in Tampa, Florida saw The Judgment Day stand tall and it proved to be a bad night for Kevin Owens who appears to be struggling with an injury.
The issues between The Judgment Day and the WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn continued on Raw leading to a one-on-one match between Zayn and Dirty Dominik Mysterio for the young star’s NXT North American Championship.
Given the personalities involved in that match, there were no surprises that shenanigans were in play with Owens, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley all being ejected from ringside. That led to The Judgment Day pair laying a beat down on Kevin Owens in the entrance way which distracted Zayn long enough for Mysterio to win and retain his title. Sami Zayn checked on his tag team partner and Kevin Owens was seen being looked over by medical personnel backstage.
WRKD Wrestling has reported that Owens is suffering from a real injury and that is being used to further the storyline with The Judgment Day:
“Kevin Owens has suffered a legitimate injury that is being used to advance the story. It is currently unclear how long he’ll be sidelined. #WWERaw”
The former WWE Universal Champion will no doubt hope to be back in action soon with SummerSlam in Detroit now less than two weeks away.
