Tony Khan has a ton of things on his mind.

With the year’s first AEW pay-per-view, Revolution, just around the corner, Khan is committed to building an enviable card.

Additionally, the company is dealing with multiple injury and contract situations apart from the Paramount-WBD merger after Netflix reportedly backed out of the race.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer recently reported that Tony Khan was happy with the deal.

The most important news story in wrestling, as far as the future and viability of AEW, is just a tiny piece of the puzzle in the proposed Paramount purchase of WBD.

There is a ton of speculation as to what it means. Those close to Tony Khan say that he was thrilled when the news came out, feeling this was the best possible scenario for him. Others are claiming it’s the death knell because Paramount, either to cut back on costs, or due to pressure from TKO given they have contracts with UFC and Zuffa Boxing, will get rid of TKO’s only real significant wrestling competition.

Tony Khan Shares Heartbreaking Update About Penelope Ford’s Injury

Penelope Ford had returned from an injury in January 2026 but is now back on the shelf.

Ford’s injury occurred on the February 25 taping of Dynamite when MegaBad challenged the Babes of Wrath for their Women’s Tag Team Championship.

After failing to land a top rope moonsault, Ford was taken out of the match, forcing AEW to call an audible, which saw MegaBad’s newest member, Lena Kross, interfere and cause a disqualification.

Khan recent posted a video on X, announcing a tag team match featuring Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa against Megan Bayne and Lena Kross.

While at it, he also shared an update about Penelope Ford’s return timeline.

It looks like, unfortunately, will be out with an injury maybe for weeks, but possibly even up to months.
