Tony Khan Adds Surprising New Name To AEW Front Office

Tony Khan has added a familiar face to his front office team adding to their very busy schedule.

Rocky Romero has competed for AEW on dozens of occasions over the last two years, mainly by the side of his CHAOS stablemates Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, and Orange Cassidy. And now it seems Romero might be seen more in the company after taking on a new role for Tony Khan.

In his Daily Update, Dave Meltzer noted that Rocky Romero now has a front office job with AEW. However, on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer confirmed that Romero is still working in a similar role for New Japan Pro Wrestling as he has for the past few years in addition to working with CMLL.

In addition to his office roles, Rocky Romero is also the current MLW Middleweight Champion. Romero was last in action in an AEW ring on the 9th of February edition of Rampage where he teamed with Cassidy and Beretta in a loss to the Undisputed Kingdom.

In addition to this backroom addition, Tony Khan is set to add two huge names to his roster in the coming weeks. Mercedes Mone is on her way to AEW with a huge debut for the former Sasha Banks to take place in her hometown.

Recent reports have indicated that Kazuchika Okada has decided to join AEW as he is set to leave NJPW and reject an advance from WWE.
