Tony Khan has picked four wrestlers to be part of his pro wrestling Mount Rushmore.

A common question that gets asked in wrestling interviews is to name a Mount Rushmore. It is what happens when somebody has to try to name four people that you would rank among the best of all-time or whatever the category might be. That’s because Mount Rushmore in South Dakota has four heads of US Presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.

AEW CEO & General Manager Tony Khan is a lifelong wrestling fan who has watched a lot of pro wrestling in his life prior to launching AEW in 2019.

During a recent interview with the Superstar Crossover podcast, Tony Khan named four wrestlers for his personal Mount Rushmore.

“For me, it’s a great question, I would say Ricky Steamboat, Steve Austin, Ric Flair, and Bret Hart.”

All four men are highly regarded in the pro wrestling business and all of them were easily inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Flair and Hart are two-time Hall of Famers.

Tony Khan praises Bret Hart

When AEW launched in 2019, they had Bret Hart introduce the new AEW World Championship. While Bret hasn’t worked for AEW since then, it was a big deal to have the WWE Hall of Famer out there introducing this new World Heavyweight Title to the world.

In the same interview, Tony Khan praised Bret Hart heavily.

“He’s a very classy person when you meet him in real life, and he’s one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. In person, he’s a real gentleman, too. So he lives up to his reputation as one of the greats, Bret Hart. Amazing, amazing person. It was great to have Bret Hart be the first person ever to pull the AEW World Championship out of the bag at the first-ever Double or Nothing.”
