Tony Khan Could Buy WWE, Says Ric Flair
Ric Flair believes that it wouldn’t be a surprise if Tony Khan buys WWE in the future.
Earlier this year, it was revealed through newly unredacted court documents from an ongoing shareholder lawsuit that the AEW President submitted a nearly $7 million bid to buy WWE in 2023.
There were three other bidders: Endeavor, Liberty Media, and KKR, with Endeavor winning the bidding process with a deal valued between $8.5 billion and $9.3 billion.
Tony Khan’s Family Wealth Could Make WWE Purchase Possible, Says Ric Flair
Speaking in a recent interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair stated that, given how rich Tony Khan’s family is, they could buy WWE in the future if TKO ever decides to sell it.
The Nature Boy also heavily praised Tony Khan for providing jobs to wrestlers who are unable to get through WWE’s “very difficult and selective” program.
Tony Khan is one of the greatest people I’ve ever met in my life. And you know what, I wouldn’t be surprised — because he has the money to do it — if he doesn’t buy WWE one day. The Khan family’s got more money than God, you know that, right? That $9 billion price on the WWE is nothing to Shad Khan.
But more than that, Tony’s provided an opportunity for guys who would never get a chance to work anywhere else, because the WWE is a very difficult, very selective organization. And Tony has offered all of these opportunities. And he pays the guys good. All he cares about is making a product and making sure that people are happy. He’s a very personable guy.
Ric Flair has high praise for Tony Khan:

According to rumors, TKO is potentially looking to sell WWE to Saudi Arabia in the next few years. There is also heavy speculation that Vince McMahon is exploring buying WWE back from TKO, potentially with the financial backing of Saudi investors.
