Tony D’Angelo Strikes Back on WWE NXT; Targets Former Champion
A new era of WWE NXT dawned last week on the Black and Silver brand as multiple new stars debuted on the brand. Former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, EVIL, stepped up to the NXT Champion last week.
The Japanese star confronted Tony D’Angelo before Tavion Heights, a former champion with WWE ID promotion, Reality of Wrestling, attacked him. He took him out with a massive spinebuster before being hit with a moonsault by debutant Will Kroos.
The newly crowned NXT Champion was looking for new challengers after all of Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, and Joe Hendry moved up to the main roster in the last few weeks.
Tony D’Angelo gets his payback on WWE NXT
D’Angelo began tonight’s episode similarly to how he ended last week’s. He went up to Shawn Michaels after what transpired last week and told him that he’s up for the challenge in front of him.
He kicked off the episode by making a huge statement and attacked Tavion Heights in the backstage arena while he was hanging out with other people, getting the jump on him.
The two men continued to brawl for a little while before being separated by others as OTM held D’Angleo back. They kept exchanging words with each other while separated, setting up a singles clash between them for later tonight.
