TKO and WWE’s partnership continues to traverse through the highs and lows.

With all the current focus on WrestleMania 42, the Stamford promotion and its business associate are doing everything to alleviate the potential threats to their earnings.

It was recently reported that the wrestling company was struggling with ticket sales for the Showdown of the Immortals. As compared to last year, fans were not showing a keen interest in grabbing the tickets first.

The reason is attributed to high ticket prices. Triple H even shuffling the WrestleMania card seems to have had no effect.

In a desperate attempt, TKO and WWE have imposed a major ban on every establishment within a 50-mile radius of the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, informing them that they won’t be able to air WrestleMania 42 even if they pay a licensing fee.

This move comes with the hope that it might increase ticket sales.

TKO Opening WWE Office In Saudi Arabia Indicates Potential Sale

Another report that has made the rounds is that of WWE’s potential sale to Saudi Arabia by TKO.

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H recently posted a picture of a newly opened office in the Kingdom. Many critics and fans have speculated that this move by TKO could be an indication that Saudi Arabia may ultimately buy the wrestling promotion.

The Master Emir and “The Fixer” Martin Stone discussed what it meant for the future of WWE on The Masters of Wrestling podcast when Emir brought up Triple H’s picture with Saudi Arabia officials from the new office.

Stone: Well, speaking from personal experience, when they were doing NXT UK before they came in and completely uphold the UK scene because it was absolutely booming and was producing some of the best talent in the world, it’s very good way of being able to get really easy work visas for anyone around the world.

But for WWE to now have an office in Saudi, I don’t think that’s just for a nice little plaque on a glass window. This is now where it’s going to be a lot of, “Oh, we need to book your travel from here. We need to send you to this place. We need to send you to that place.” “Oh, we need to find you accommodation? Oh, look at our new offices; we can do that for you.”

Emir: And again, any naysayers out there, and I’m sure there’s gonna be plenty of them, who are gonna say, “Just cos they got office doesn’t mean anything.” Are you kidding me? Martin and I, we got business around the world. We got offices in Shanghai. We got offices in France, Germany, England, Canada. We know what it means when we open up an establishment somewhere. Again, this is an investment, Martin. This is an investment. They’ve spent money on this.

Stone: You don’t open this just to open an office. So, there’s a lot of things going o behind the scenes that we don’t know about, but right now, all points and indications are leading towards Saudi becoming the owners of WWE. [1:46 onwards]
