The Undertaker had some very nice things to say about Drew McIntyre in a recent interview.

When Drew McIntyre was a young guy starting out in WWE in the early 2010s, there were a lot of rumors about him having a lengthy feud with The Undertaker. It never really happened, but they did tangle at Extreme Rules 2019, which was The Undertaker’s third last match in WWE.

At the time of Extreme Rules 2019, Drew McIntyre was a heel teaming up with Shane McMahon against The Undertaker & Roman Reigns. That match ended with The Undertaker beating Shane with a Tombstone for the pinfall win.

Less than a year later at WrestleMania 36 in 2020, Drew McIntyre was a babyface Royal Rumble winner that Brock Lesnar to realize his destiny as the WWE Champion for the first time although there were no fans in attendance. Drew won the WWE Title for a second time in front of no fans.

While Drew’s long-term WWE future is unknown due to his contract expiring early in 2024, he was recently drafted to the WWE Raw brand after spending a few years on Smackdown.

During an interview with The Scottish Sun, The Undertaker talked about his relationship with the Scottish Warrior, Drew McIntyre.

“I think the world of Drew and I still don’t think he’s reached his full potential. He has a couple of really massive runs left in him.”

“It’s funny because when I show up to an event, there’s that group of guys who want to say they talked to me and it’s just lip service so they can say they were talking about things with The Undertaker. On the other hand, Drew has always sought me out with the most legitimate questions on how to improve.”

As he continued, The Undertaker spoke about how he likes talking about the business with Drew.

“I always enjoy talking to him. He has always been someone that I like discussing the business with and trying to impart some of the things I did and make it work in this day and age. I don’t believe there’s ever been a time that I showed up and Drew didn’t at least ask me if I’ve been watching him and what suggestions I have.”

“There’s a lot of people who get to where Drew is at and they think they have it figured out so they stop growing sometimes. With Drew, he has this drive within him that he knows there’s more there for him and he wants to figure it out and be the very best he can be.”

It has been two months since Drew McIntyre has been on WWE TV. That was at WrestleMania 39 when he had one of the best matches of his career along with Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER and Sheamus.
