The Undertaker Becoming “Driving Force” Behind AAA

The Undertaker

The Undertaker is making his presence felt.

AAA hosted Triplemania XXXIII on August 16, and WWE’s fingerprints were all over the show. From featuring in several matches, including the main event, to Triple H, Nick Khan, and Shawn Michaels appearing at the start of the event, the company’s presence was impossible to ignore.

Ahead of the show, Triple H addressed the entire AAA locker room, telling talent that WWE wasn’t looking to make sweeping changes. Instead, he highlighted a desire to give the promotion a bigger platform.

The Undertaker’s Increasing WWE Involvement

In a behind-the-scenes video posted on social media, Triple H said he was at Triplemania with two of the people he respected the most, referencing Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. He added that ‘Taker has become “one of the big driving forces” behind AAA.

“Here I am with the two guys I respected the most of my generation. As if this wasn’t big enough, having that opportunity, I can’t even describe it.

If you would have told me 20 years ago that one of the big driving forces behind AAA in Mexico would be the Undertaker, it would be hard for me to sort of wrap my head around that.”

Although he’s yet to be given an official job title related to the promotion, it’s been reported that The Undertaker will be around AAA a great deal moving forward.

Following the first Worlds Collide event back in June, it was noted that The Deadman had been involved backstage, but his exact input remained unknown. He later admitted that he’d be interested in working in creative if the right opportunity came up.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp added that the veteran is “becoming more influential behind the scenes.”

During Triplemania, it was announced that Worlds Collide will return on September 12 in Las Vegas.
