Jade Cargill made an interesting remark after a vicious backstage attack.

When Jade Cargill makes her entrance on WWE television, her theme song warns, “A storm is coming.” That’s exactly what happened on SmackDown in Kansas City.

One week earlier, on the June 12th edition of WWE SmackDown, Jade Cargill was in a 4-way Queen of the Ring tournament match with Charlotte Flair, Sol Ruca, and Lyra Valkyria. During the match, Flair and Ruca gave Cargill a double superplex that led to Cargill’s wig sliding off. For the remaining part of the match, Cargill could be seen using her hand to try to keep the wig on.

As the match went on, Cargill was sent outside the ring, and Flair applied the Figure 8 submission to Valkyria, who tapped out, so Flair advanced in the Queen of the Ring tournament.

That led to SmackDown in Kansas City, where Charlotte Flair was backstage before her Queen of the Ring Semifinal match against Liv Morgan, the main event of the show. Flair was ready to make her entrance, but she was confronted by Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab. After Flair walked by, she was attacked from behind by the trio. Cargill stomped on Flair’s left knee, which is heavily braced since Flair injured it a few years ago.

Flair went on to have her match with Liv Morgan in the SmackDown main event and put up an incredible effort while battling through a knee injury, but a relentless Morgan was able to pick up the win.

Following SmackDown, Jade Cargill posted on X/Twitter with this statement:

Jade Cargill Going After Championship At WWE Night Of Champions

During her WWE career so far, Jade Cargill is a 2-time Women’s Tag Team Champion and a former WWE Women’s Champion. Cargill held that title for an impressive 169 days, before losing it to Rhea Ripley.

On WWE SmackDown in Kansas City, Jade Cargill was with Michin and B-Fab for an interview with Cathy Kelley. Jade trashed Tiffany Stratton for getting involved in their business. B-Fab and Michin spoke up, supporting Jade as usual. Jade said that since she took out Rhea Ripley, Night of Champions needs some of her star power, so Cargill challenged Stratton for the Women’s US Title.

Later in the show, Stratton accepted the challenge. It became official that at Night of Champions on June 27th, Jade Cargill will challenge Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s US Title. Cargill pinned Stratton in a tag team recently and also beat Stratton for the WWE Women’s Title last November.
