The Rock’s WWE Return May Be Imminent

The Rock has not been seen in WWE since Elimination Chamber, but is he about to make his presence felt very soon once again?

The last time WWE fans saw The Rock, he was standing tall with Travis Scott and John Cena at Elimination Chamber over the bloodied body of Cody Rhodes. John Cena sold his soul to The Rock, but many have cast doubt on whether Cena will continue to be a heel until the very end of his run as a WWE star.

And one WWE Hall of Famer thinks SummerSlam, where Cena defends the WWE Title against Cody Rhodes in a Street Fight, could be the perfect place for The Rock to return and wrap that story up.

John Cena To Turn On The Rock At SummerSlam?

Speaking on Busted Open, Bully Ray explained why he thinks SummerSlam could see the return of The Rock, especially as John Cena and Cody Rhodes are set to battle in a Street Fight:

It opens the door for the run-in. And we’re talking about how do we turn John Cena babyface? How do we keep Cody a babyface? They do have one thing in common, and that’s The Rock.

There’s been, at least I’ve seen them, little tiny hints from John, little moments in time where John has seemed torn to me, where I’m like, hmm, is John thinking about turning himself back babyface? So I can definitely see where The Rock appears again, and The Rock orders John to destroy Cody.

Now John has his moment of truth, where he’s like, “No, this is wrong, I’m not going to destroy him. We are going to destroy you because you’re the problem here.” And they can finally wrap up that story in the middle of a ring and put it to bed.
