The Issue That Stopped Batista’s WWE Hall Of Fame Induction

Batista

Batista should have already had his place in the WWE Hall of Fame but he’s now revealed what stopped it from happening the second time around.

Batista was originally announced to be part of the Class of 2020 for the WWE Hall of Fame but the COVID pandemic caused that ceremony to be delayed by one year. By the time 2021 came around however, the former World Heavyweight Champion was committed to movie projects and was not a part of the ceremony then that saw the rest of the 2020 class receive their inductions.

Speaking to Comicbook.com Batista revealed that he was set to receive his induction ahead of WrestleMania 39 in 2023 but filming on a movie in South Africa made that impossible:

I was supposed to go in last year and I was on a film and I just couldn’t travel… I was on a film in South Africa and logistically we just couldn’t make it happen.

When Did Batista Last Wrestle For WWE?

Batista brought down the curtain on his in-ring career in 2019 when Triple H gave him what he wanted and faced off with his former protege at WrestleMania 35.

Triple H won that No Holds Barred match between the former Evolution teammates, avenging his loss from 2005 on the grandest stage of them all.

Despite Batista making it very clear that his in-ring days are behind him, one current WWE star still would love a match with The Animal.
