Matt and Jeff Hardy kicked off their wrestling careers in 1995. They were officially signed to WWE in 1998. Since then, they have worked in top promotions in the wrestling world, such as TNA and AEW.

The Hardy Boyz have been in the pro wrestling business for over three decades. Now, they are in the later stages of their careers and are potentially on the verge of retirement.

What Would The Hardy Boyz Tell Their Rookie Selves?

Matt and Jeff Hardy recently had an interview with the Rivet City Podcast, where they were asked if they could say something to their younger selves, what would that be?

Matt stated that if he could say anything to his younger self, it would be to wisely choose his wrestling moves, as they would cost him a lot of physical pain in the future. Meanwhile, Jeff stated that he would tell his rookie self to give it all in his first match and stay away from drugs and alcohol.

Matt: “Current me, 2026 me, would say, look, I know you’re young, and you’re invincible, and you’re indestructible, But look, whenever you’re doing these moves that are gonna bang you up in the future, like, pick and choose. Use them at important times. Do them in important scenarios. Do them when they count, when it means something, and conserve your body as much as you can.”

Jeff: “I would say, go out there and wrestle this first match like it’s your last match and don’t ever give in to drugs and alcohol. That’s what I would say. “

The Hardy Boyz are currently signed to TNA, where they are the current TNA World Tag Team Champions in their fourth reign.
