The Hardy Boyz Reveal Constant WWE Negotiations

Could the Hardy Boyz be on their way to a return to WWE?

The last time Matt and Jeff Hardy teamed up on TV while under WWE contract was back in April 2019, where the pair captured the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

Stints for both in AEW followed the end of their WWE tenures, before they found each other again in TNA. TNA’s partnership with WWE has seen the Hardy Boyz return to NXT, capturing the NXT Tag Team Championship briefly. But it seems the WWE could still be in the Hardys’ future.

Hardy Boyz Returning To WWE?

Speaking in an interview with Metro, Matt Hardy revealed that the Hardy Boyz remain in talks with WWE about their future and vows to do more with the company:

We’re in constant negotiations with WWE about doing some more stuff. We will do more with them.

However, it might not mean a full-time WWE return for the Hardy Boyz, as Matt Hardy explained why it was important they stayed in TNA:

It was very important to us to stay at TNA as opposed to becoming a WWE full-time act [again]. In TNA, we’re going to be put in a position to succeed, and we can contribute, and we can help the company grow and be better. And the relationship with WWE has been great.

Anytime we’ve interacted with Shawn Michaels, he was absolutely awesome – Triple H, whoever, we’ve got along with everybody really good. I think you’re going to see some more cool Hardy Boyz moments in WWE before it’s all said and done in 2026.
