Tension Between WWE Tag Team After Surprise Return
One WWE tag team might have reunited on Raw but it seems that not all is well between the long-time partners.
Raw in London saw a WWE star return after a long injury layoff as Tyler Bate joined Pete Dunne to take on The New Day. It was not a glorious return for Bate in his first match for eight months as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods picked up the win.
Pete Dunne Not Happy Despite WWE Reunion
In an interview aired on social media, Tyler Bate expressed how happy he was to be back in the ring but Pete Dunne didn’t share his optimism:
I am healthy and I am chuffed to be back here. New Catch Republic is back together, we’re in the UK, we’re in London at The O2 Arena, things are looking pretty good right now…
Pete Dunne soon interrupted and set Bate straight after their defeat:
What are you on about? Get your head screwed on, we just lost. Get your head together, we’ve gotta get focused.
Bate told his partner it was a matter of perspective and he should be happy everyone got his name right rather than still calling him Butch:
Get my head together? Pete, cup half full man, think about the positives. It’s all about perspective. Cup half full, they’ve finally got your name right.
That seemed good enough for Pete Dunne who walked off with a shrug. Perhaps the tension that already exists between Bate and Dunne could lead to issues for the New Catch Republic somewhere down the line.
