Sheamus Was Bitter About Not Wrestling At Money In The Bank

Sheamus cutting a promo

The “Celtic Warrior” Sheamus thinks it was a shameful thing that he wasn’t on the Money in the Bank card in England.

For this year’s Money in the Bank Premium Live Event on July 1st, WWE decided to go international by holding the event in London, England. It was an entertaining show featuring plenty of European talent, but the brawling Irishman Sheamus didn’t wrestle on the show.

In the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Sheamus’ buddy Butch of the Brawling Brutes was involved likely because he is from England, but Sheamus was not in that match, nor did he participate in a match on the show.

While speaking to the Daily Star, Sheamus spoke about his lack of participation at Money in the Bank.

“I was gutted about Money in the Bank, but obviously delighted Butch was in there and did a hell of a job. Ridge the night before against Theory, I’d have liked to have seen him get a bit more time in there.”

“I was just bitter I wasn’t [wrestling on the show]. They know when they put me on Smackdown every week they’re going to get two or three killer segments, but when it comes to the pay per views and you have the part-timers coming into the limelight, that stings a little bit.”

“All it does is motivate me more and more. I haven’t lost my passion, I haven’t lost my momentum and I can still go in the ring.”

“As long as I can do all of those things, I’ll keep going until the wheels fall off.”

Sheamus Will Be In Action On Smackdown And SummerSlam

Tonight’s episode of Smackdown is the final episode of the blue brand’s show before SummerSlam on Saturday night. Fans of Sheamus can see him in action on both nights. On Smackdown, Sheamus faces LA Knight following their backstage interaction last week.

In addition to that, the Celtic Warrior will be in the Men’s SummerSlam Battle Royal at SummerSlam on Saturday night in Detroit as well.
