Asuka’s WWE career may have ended at Backlash.

The Empress has been feuding with her former mentee and Damage CTRL teammate IYO SKY for several months before the two clashed tonight at Backlash.

Despite Asuka pulling all her tricks, she failed to get a positive result in Tampa, Florida. Instead, The Genius of the Sky picked up an important victory over her former mentor.

After the match, Asuka unexpectedly broke down in tears, hugged, and kissed SKY. She also blew a kiss and waved to the crowd in an emotional moment.
