Seth Rollins Reveals The Better Liar Between Him & Becky Lynch
Seth Rollins talks about how he and his wife had to manage hiding his injury when it happened.
The WWE: Unreal Netflix docu-series pulls the curtain back on how the wrestling business works. Wrestlers share their journey and what they really go through behind the scenes, especially after suffering a bad injury.
Episode 5 of WWE: Unreal’s newly released second season begins with an inside look at Seth Rollins seemingly suffering a bad injury in a match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in 2025, where he failed to hit a moonsault on LA Knight and landed awkwardly, badly injuring his knee, or so it seemed.
It was later revealed that the knee injury was a “worked shoot,” and Rollins made a return at SummerSlam in August to cash in his Money In The Bank Briefcase and defeat CM Punk for his World Heavyweight Championship.
In the Unreal episode, we can see that chaos ensued after Rollins’ seemingly legitimate injury as members of friends and family wanted to know what had happened. Rollins, with all he was going through in the moment, would not respond to the texts and calls, leaving his wife Becky Lynch to break the news to them all.
Seth Rollins Admits He’s Better At Lying Than His Wife Becky Lynch
When Lynch was getting texts from Rollins’ dad, other members of her family, and friends, she was asked by her husband not to disclose anything, which was something she found hard to do.
Becky is seen admitting that she is good at lying when in character, but can’t when it comes to family and friends, which led to difficult conversations when she was put on the spot.
Rollins seconds this by saying that his wife is a terrible liar and also sympathizes with her for having to forcefully be his accomplice in lying about his kayfabe injury, which proved to be a difficult task for her.
I think she didn’t anticipate having to be an accomplice. I think that part didn’t occur to her until the night of (the injury), and she’s the one answering all the texts while I’m ignoring them all.
I’m a much better liar than she is. She’ll be honest with you on that. She’s a terrible liar.
Seth Rollins is currently out of action due to a real shoulder injury and has been appearing on a lot of podcasts when in hiatus. He could make a return around WrestleMania 42, but nothing is confirmed yet.
